X-Men First Class

I went to see this film over the weekend.  I thought it was well written and the acting (from the core cast) was really great.  I would probably see it again at the theater and will be looking for it on Blu-ray in a few months.  Also loved a few surprise cameos that I was not expecting.

Narnia: The Dawn Treader

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Dawn Treader

Took some time and went to see this film.  I really loved the first two films of the series and this one was just as good.  Of course The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe will always be my favorite of the stories, but Prince Caspian & The Dawn Treader are very close behind it.  I would recommend seeing this film.

Upcoming Movies

Having seen Iron Man 2 this past week I was thinking about other new movies I might like to see in the next year:

• The Sorcerer's Apprentice

• The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader
• Tron: Legacy
• Thor
• Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides
• The Hangover 2
• Kung Fu Panda: The Kaboom of Doom
• X-men: First Class
• Green Lantern
• Cars 2: World Grand Prix
• Transformers 3
• Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt. 2
• Captain America
• The Greatest Muppet Movie Ever Made

Iron Man 2

Finally got to the theater last night to see "Iron Man 2". I really enjoyed it. Whiplash was pretty cool (only wish he and Iron Man had a few more fight scenes). Robert Downey Jr. was great again. I loved the little nods in the film to other Marvel super heroes. This will definitely be a future DVD purchase for me.

How to Train Your Dragon

Today is my Uncle John's birthday. His wife and kids were taking him to see "How to Train Your Dragon" this morning and they invited me to go along. The movie was really good. I'm going to add it to my list of DVD's that I want to purchase. We came back to their house after the movie to watch some baseball and hockey. Ordered Chinese food for lunch. John also tried out his new game "Brutal Legend" that he got as a present. I thought the game looked pretty good. I might pick it up at some point as well.

The Dark Knight

Fantastic movie!

Harvey Dent was by far my favorite character in the film. Aaron Eckhart did a brilliant job of portraying the character. He really made me care about what was going to happen to Harvey.

Heath Ledger's Joker is... well... AMAZING! I will never look at a pencil the same way again.

Gary Oldman has become one of my favorite actors and he is amazing as Jim Gordan.

Christian Bale embodies Bruce/Batman.

Overall this movie will stand as one of my all time favorites.
